Facility

Most of you probably remember the very small trailer house that Dr. Hendrix practiced out of for so many years.

WELL!  have we got a surprise for you!  Construction on the new hospital began in the fall of 1997 and we moved in June, 1998.

Our facility is now a full service Veterinary Hospital.  We offer many medical services that we weren't able to give you before.  These updates include diagnostic improvements such as radiology (x-ray) technology.

A complete small animal surgery suite.  We use isoflourane gas for anesthesia.  This is the safest anesthetic in medicine today.  We offer soft tissue surgery, orthopedic repairs of broken bones, elective surgeries and dentistry.

The Equine portion of the hospital has a treatment room with a stocks, for proper restraint.  This way we can perform many outpatient procedures, such as dentistry, x-ray or suture lacerations.  We also have an equine surgery suite.  This is a "padded" room where we can safely perform surgery and recover horses from the anesthesia. Horses can be hospitalized for more intense therapy as needed.

The Large Animal working facility fills the rest of the building.  There is a wide alley leading into the tub and chute area.  Most work can be done in the hydraulic chutes.  A hydraulic tilt table is used for foot trims or surgery and a seperate calving area for obstetrics.  A seperate area is for treating scouring calves that need to be hospitalized and placed on IV therapy.
